Hostinger Premium vs Unlimited: Which Plan to Buy
Published Oct 10, 2026
Hostinger Premium vs Unlimited is the first decision when you buy shared hosting there, and it is simpler than the price page suggests. For up to three sites, Premium is enough. Unlimited earns its higher price in a few specific cases. I run Premium myself, so this guide uses Hostinger's figures and my own account.
The quick answer
- Choose Premium if you run one to three websites, such as a portfolio, a blog or a small business site.
- Choose Unlimited if you will host more than three sites, want daily backups with easy restore, or need more storage and mailboxes.
The rest of this Hostinger Premium vs Unlimited guide shows where each line comes from and what the price gap really costs over time.

Hostinger Premium vs Unlimited at a glance
These figures come from Hostinger's web hosting page, checked on 10 October 2026. Prices are per month on a 48 month term.
Premium
- $2.99 a month, or $143.52 for the full 48 months.
- 3 websites.
- 20 GB SSD storage.
- Weekly backups.
- 2 mailboxes per website, free for the first year.
- 5 AI credits for Hostinger's website and app creation tools.
Unlimited
- $3.99 a month, or $191.52 for the full 48 months.
- Unlimited websites.
- 50 GB NVMe storage.
- Daily backups with easy restore.
- Unlimited mailboxes per website, free for the first year.
- 15 AI credits for the same tools.
What both plans share
Several things are identical, so they should not decide the Hostinger Premium vs Unlimited choice. Both plans include a CDN, priority 24/7 support, a free domain for the first year and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Hostinger also migrates existing websites for free on every plan.
The price gap is small now and bigger later
In Hostinger Premium vs Unlimited, the first-term gap is tiny. On the 48 month term, Unlimited costs $1 more per month. Across the whole term that is $48, because $191.52 minus $143.52 is $48.
Renewal is where the gap widens. Premium renews at $10.99 a month and Unlimited at $16.99, which is $6 more per month or $72 more per year. A year of Premium then costs $131.88, and a year of Unlimited costs $203.88.
So Unlimited is cheapest in the first term. If you are not sure you will need it long term, weigh the renewal rate too. I cover that catch in my Hostinger review.
When Premium is enough
I run Premium. Three sites is more than most people need, and a portfolio, a blog and a small business site fit with room to spare. In my experience, 20 GB of SSD storage is plenty for sites that are mostly text and images.

My own Premium plan under Websites in hPanel. It holds up to three sites.
The real trade-off is backups. Premium backs up weekly, so a change you make today can be lost before the next backup. I keep my own copy of anything that changes often, and I suggest you do the same.
When Unlimited is worth it
- More than three sites. Premium stops at three, and Unlimited has no limit on websites.
- Daily backups with restore. For a site that changes often, a backup from last night is much safer than one from last week.
- More storage. You get 50 GB of NVMe storage against 20 GB of SSD.
- More mailboxes. Unlimited mailboxes per website, against 2 on Premium, both free for the first year.
- More AI credits. Hostinger lists 15 against 5. I have not used those tools, so I cannot say how far the credits go.
If you host websites for clients, daily backups alone can justify the jump. A restore point from yesterday is worth more than the extra $1 a month.
What I could not confirm
Hostinger's plan page does not state bandwidth, CPU or RAM limits, so I will not compare speed or capacity. I also have not confirmed how upgrading from Premium to Unlimited works later. Ask Hostinger support before you rely on switching, and pick the plan that fits what you need now.
Getting 20% off either plan
Our Hostinger discount link takes 20% off the first term of a new plan. It applies automatically, so there is no code to enter. It does not cover renewals and does not combine with other promo codes.

My own Premium cart with the discount applied.
In my cart the 20% came off the already reduced price. That cart was a 12-month Premium term, so its numbers differ from the 48-month prices above. I only checked Premium, so look at the total in your own cart before you pay.
My pick between Hostinger Premium vs Unlimited
For one to three sites, I would buy Premium and keep my own backups. For client work or a growing collection of sites, I would pay for Unlimited and its daily restore points.
Either way, you have 30 days to test the plan and ask for your money back. Put the renewal date in your calendar on day one, because that is when the price steps up.
